READY, SET, ISAC!

Another year, another championship!img_20170106_090124

It has been announced that the 2017 ISAC are a go! Recording is set to happen on January 16th and airing date hasn’t been announced yet. Above are the groups scheduled to take part on this edition. Please note that I’m not sure if this is the final line-up.

I was looking forward to see KARD… Guess these co-ed kings and queens still have a few things to overcome… BUT THEY WILL GET THERE

Just one question… is ALL of NCT going to take part in this? I mean NCT U has what 6 members? Uhhh Taeil, Taeyong, Ten, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Mark. Yeah 6. Then it’s NCT 127 whis has 9 members but you gotta exclude Taeil, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Doyoung and Mark which make 5 so, 4 members. NCT Dream is 7 members but excluding  Mark and Haechan its only 5 so there are 15 members… Eh now that I did the math it’s not such an extraordinary number but it’ll probably only be NCT 127 or perhaps NCT 127 + NCT U. I don’t see NCT Dream taking part in this, SM likes to keep the kids in the dungeon. We’ll see though! Are you excited about this year’s ISAC?

This was me less than 2 months ago

BUT NOW HERE WE ARE OMGNG

Alright, on to the review!

This song Limitless is the title track for NCT 127’s – NCT sub-unit – most recent comeback. It is part of the album NCT #127 – LIMITLESS – The 2nd Mini Album.

Starting with the MV, which you kinda can watch here 😀

Nobody really knew what to expect, considering the messed up teasers, but the truth is, the MV was just as confusing. Apart from that, aesthetic 1000000% on point. Perfect balance between dancing scenes and actual mv scenes. The only thing I have to point out is the terrible distribuition of screen time. I mean, try comparing Yuta’s screen time to Mark’s and you’ll understand what I’m talking about

As for the song itself, HELL YES

Overall it’s such an amazing track I don’t even know where to turn. I’m not going to lie, I got a bit worried after Taeyong’s #2 teaser… I had no clue about the song and suddenly we’re introduced to that, somewhat particular, line in Taeyong’s rap with a, somewhat particular, vocal hum,… skill?

I love how in the song there are so many different moments… I mean, the song isn’t repetitive at all. It resembles the music video in a way that, there are no repetitive scenes. The overall theme is there and the song is consistent and well built, but it never gets boring and repetitive. Like I said, there are many different moments to it, making you feel differently about each one of them.

What makes me sad is that, with such a well-built track, whoever distributed the lines made a terrible job. Yeah, I know there are different roles to K-Pop members in a group, and normally who gets most lines takes less visible spots in choreographies but in this case it’s just too much.

Let’s look at Winwin. Yeah, he’s the main dancer and is often in the middle front, but throughout the whole song boy gets two lines which he doesn’t even get to sing on live peformances because of the audio effect. There is also Yuta, who gets one line, I repeat, one line. Sure, he gets to be in the middle aswell, but unlike Winwin who gets his fair share of screen time in the MV, Yuta barely even has that. Not even to mention JOHNNY. I mean, after all the hype I expected SM to be a bit more self-conscious and finally let the boy shine, but no, he got two lines. But hey, I’m already thankful for his debut.

There might be another way to interpretate this though, SM was defenitely aware of how much attention Johnny would get on this album and in order to balance that with the other 8 members, they tried to shift some of the spotlight back to other members.

However, Mark and Taeyong still got a heck of a lot of screen time/lines/middle or front spots in the choreo so yeah, there is still some work to be made.

In conclusion, I was absoluetely blown away with this track – as you might have noticed on the video – I noticed some major evolution since Fire Truck era and Doyoung has also improved a lot since The 7th Sense.

Once again I think I predicted a K-Pop event. Now I might just make a post begging for Hansol’s debut and it might just happen I mean WHO KNOWS

WHERE IS JOHNNY FFS

HONESTLY WHRE THE HELL IS JOHNNY

This is super random, yeah, but a while ago I was studying for tomorrow’s test and suddenly SMRookies’ Johnny came to my mind and once again it hit me that the boy is still waiting to debut anD I GOT SO PISSED I DONT EVEN KNOW

Here’s the thing: yeah, nobody is perfect. I KNOW that. buT ITS HONESTLY SO HARD TO BELIEVE BC HONESTLY IVE ONLY HEARD WONDERS ABOUT JOHNNY and like I’m just curious to see the real deal.

Bear in mind that one deserves an award for training at SM alone. Not for getting in – I’ve heard the criteria for casting isn’t as specific as people think – but for being able to survive there. A bunch have dropped out because they either couldn’t handle it or because they thought the wait for a debut date wasn’t worth it.

Here, take as an example this guy who started a thread on reddit after dropping out of SM. Hundreds of people asked him questions and I actually took the time to read through all the comments. His answers were mindblowingly clarifying and it really allows you to get a concrete idea of the trainee life at SM Entertainment.

BUT LIKE BACK TO JOHNNY OK

I MIGHT EVEN DROP LEECHAIYAPORNKUL CHITTAPHON AKA TEN JUST FOR JOHNNY I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW ITS GONNA HIT ME WHEN H DEBUTS BC IM HONESTLY SO SHOOK RIGHT NOW

Therefore, here’s a Johnny aprecciation post. You’re welcome.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I’m sorry.

Before I even start, click here for NCT U’s MV for the song The 7th Sense.

Alright. So, It’s been quite a while since it was announced that SM Rookies were FINALLY going to debut. From that moment I started preparing myself mentally. Yes, I needed preparation, they’re a group under SM Ent. afterall… Let’s be real, as much of a crazy that company is, they have never failed at debuting amazing artists. I already knew I was gonna surrender to NCT from the start. I was right.

Here’s a tad more of info about these boys. I guarantee you they are no ordinary rookie group.

NCT is the actual name of the whole group; stands for Neo Culture Technology. By the time their debut was announced, some other news came along. The truth is, this group currently has a total of 40 members. Hold on, I need a sec.

SGHVBDUIGBIDUEGHAHSJKASAAJJHBJHJVHHAHHHHHHHH HEJNKLSDODV WHAGSTYDG HOW IS THIS POASSIVLE SERSIOYTLY

40 members. For now.

For now?

Yes, friends. For now.

I admit I’m not 100% sure about this information. Only 99.9%… simply because I find it hard to even conceive the idea of a boy group with 40 members.

Fear not! Lee Soo Man has thought of everything! eh it’s not like that happens often . The group will debut by sub-unit, not as a whole. Meaning, all members are divided in sub-units from the start. That’s where NCT U comes from, these six boys are only a sub-unit of this much bigger group. From what I’ve learned in every website, blog, vlog and fan account, though the group has 40 members at the moment, the idea is to add more as time passes if the group turns out to be successful.

With that in mind… things aren’t looking good for us, fangirls. Successful? If there’s something I’m sure these boys will be surrounded by is success. All I needed to deduce that was NCT U’s first MV and a couple videos from the SM Rookies show. They’ve got the talent and they’ve got the looks. What else is needed?

Knowing SM Entertainment, I was already expecting an awesome track for their debut, but The 7th Sense literally blew me away. The song might be incredibly simple but it is also incredibly good. The choreography looks flawless aswell and I’m very excited to see their live stages. The MV was a huge truck of aesthetic and pops of colors. I LOVED IT

NCT U’s debut consists of two digital singles – another single will be released tomorrow (10th of April) for the song Without You, this time sub-unit leader Taeil will be featured! – he wasn’t on The 7th Sense. Don’t forget to check that out tomorrow!

I’m super excited to see what’s going to come out of this new project and I shamelessly admit I’m already staning them and possibly biased Ten…

What did you think of NCT U?

p.s.- uhh I don’t know much but I believe there have been some issues regarding member Taeyong in the past… I don’t want to get into details nor defend him nor anything like that. Anyhow, everyone makes mistakes and has the right to regret them so how bad could it be to give him a second chance? And even if you don’t want to, at least be here for the music. Even if you can’t accept certain things, it’s not wrong to accept their talent (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
