No joke guys, I actually predicted their disbandment. Not because I disliked them or wanted them to disband, but myB weren’t able to grab a big audience to begin with and their following comeback went down the same way.
It’s not like groups go around disbanding every day, but I worry a lot about this due to the amount of groups we have out there these days. It’s simply impossible for everyone to achieve no.1 so it’s not surprising that at some point disbandments will be as frequent as debuts. I stan a lot of underrated groups so I often prepare myself for the worst, if the successful ones disband won’t the same happen to the others?
That’s why, about two weeks ago, I was listening to Ddo Ddoand suddenly realized it had already been a year or so since their comeback. Is it normal for rookies to take such a long break? Not really, these days, even if you’re debut was the ultimate bop and promotions got carried out for ten years, they’ll still make one or two close comebacks, that’s the only way the audience will remember them. That’s why I wondered about their disbandment. It turned out to be plain ass foreshadowing.
Moonhee and Hayoon remain in Maroo Entertainment and will debut with the companie’s upcoming girl group in January 2017. Is it just me who thinks it’s a bit too soon? For some reason, I can’t see it go well for these girls either… 😦

I have been following KARD since the first teasers were released so, trust me, if it wasn’t for him wearing sunglasses during their performance at the debut party I’d still be clueless right now.
Turns out, member BM aka Matthew Kim aka representative of the letter K in KARD was THAT guy, Goo Hara’s partner during Choco Chip Cookies promotions, the punk that never took off his sunglasses.
I found this so randomly, I was just watching their debut party performance and suddenly he popped out of nowhere and the god damn sunglasses gave it all away, I instantly went like HOLD THE FUDGE UP YOU ARE THAT GUY and for a split second my brain froze and i was like omfjhhdf he looks like him but it doesnt make much sense bc trainees dont go around collaborating with artists from others labeLSKJJFDJ WAIT GOO HARA MEANS KARA KARA MEANS DSP MEDIA DSP MEDIA MEANS KARD HOLY SHGUIDGYY

Today is Kim So Jung’s (aka Sowon) 21st birthday (22nd in korean age). Sowon is a member of the korean girl group GFriend (they are under Source Music) in which she’s the leader, main rapper, vocalist and visual.
GFriend debuted on January 14th, 2015 with the single Glass Bead, you can watch it here. If you’re into the K-Pop thing then you defenitely know how GFriend have killing the charts for quiet a while. Glass Bead didn’t receive much attention, which is common since it was debut single and they’re from a minor label. However, the summer of 2015 was deadass dominated by Me Gustas Tu, but their real bop wasn’t dropped until Rough which collected about 15 wins on music shows. GFriend are now the korean girl group with the biggest amount of wins on music shows in a year, with a total of 29.
But enough of GFriend! This is dedicated to our leader Sowon 🙂
Sowon is the loving mother in GFriend. Seriously, she cares so much about her members, she’s so cautious and works so hard to keep the girls happy. Every girl group deserves a leader like her. She’s more the quiet kind of girl but can still can make others laugh. She’s very skilled, she has a beautiful voice, dances amazingly well and speaks korean and japanese. Sowon is also very popular because people consider her body to have the “golden ration”.
Fun fact, her stage name Sowon (소원) means “wish” in english :3

Today is Kwon Yuri’s 27th birthday (28th in korean age). Yuri is a member of the korean girl group Girls’ Generation aka SNSD (소녀시대 – Sonyeosidae) (they are under SM Entertainment) in which she is a vocalist and lead dancer.
If you asked me to describe Yuri with a word, I’d say versatile! Yuri has had a taste of almost every area of the entertainment industry. Since her debut with SNSD in 2007, she has worked not only as a singer but also as an actress, model, songwriter, TV host and even graduated from college.
She joined SM in 2001 through Casting System after achieving 2nd place in the SM Youth Best Dancer Contest. She trained for almost six years before debuting. She has released a few songs as OSTs, including Kkok for the tv drama Working Mom along with fellow member Sooyoung.
As for her acting career, she debuted in 2007 on the KBS drama Unstoppable Marriage. She later earned lead roles such as in Fashion King, Neighborhood Hero and will star next January on SBS drama Defendant.
She used to host MBC’s Show! Music Core along with Tiffany. Her appearences on variety shows also include Invincible Youth and Law Of The Jungle.
Yuri is also an ambassador of Chung Ang University, from which she obtained her Theater and Film degree.
Yuri is one of SNSD’s main source of positivity and cheer. She has this bubbly personality that can make anyone smile, however, she’s still responsible and likes to take care of her members~

This is really just a matter of analyzing the facts…..
You don’t need to know Taeyeon too well to know she’s the kind to lead a quiet life. In fact, you don’t need to know her at all because, even if she wished to go around wrecking performances at important awarding ceremonies and creating drama, SM Ent. wouldn’t allow that.
So for the past couple of days, there’s drama going on. On the past 2nd of December, 2016 the Mnet Asian Music Awards were held in Hong Kong. Once again, this was the stage for many amazing performances from both korean and international artists, aswell as practice venue for performances that never happened. The information got out ahead of time and, before the show, everyone already expected a Taeyeon x Wiz Khalifa collaboration, as this video showed them practicing See You Again at the venue, right before the MAMA.
The thing is, the performance never happened. A lot of people were confused as to why Wiz Khalifa ended up performing alone and so the guy decided to shed some light in the midst of the confusion.
It’s pretty clear he’s claiming she backed out of the performance because for some reason she disliked the idea of performing with him. He was also hella salty on other tweets regarding this issue.
Upon all this, Taeyeon had no way out other than explaining what happened. Here’s the translation of what she posted on her Intagram story
The video above showed a snippet of the AR Taeyeon mentioned. It was originally posted by Khalifa’s DJ to prove that Taeyeon was indeed supposed to perform with him but what it actually proves is what Taeyeon said. We can clearly read on the file “AR Monitor”. The DJ only had the AR, Mnet only had the AR, therefore, without the MR, it was MNET WHO CANCELLED the performance.
Now, this is one plausible explanation. But things might be a bit more personal. After reading Taeyeon’s statement about the performance’s cancellation, Wiz Khalifa went and said Taeyeon had told him the previous day that she was at the hospital and after practicing, asked to be on a different stage than him and then cancelled. Tell me, where’s the sense in this? Because I really can’t see the benefits she would get from deciding this. Shit got real after Taeyeon learnt about this. Like I said before, she’s one to lead a quiet life but she definitely didn’t like how she was being accused of being unprofessional. She then shared on her snapchat how she never went to the hospital. Apparently what happened was that Taeyeon was left waiting for Wiz to rehearse until 1am and then went back to the hotel.
The speculation about why the performance was cancelled after all is going a bit overboard. Specially when Wiz Khalifa went with that “Never apologize for being yourself and never let anyone else’s self projection determine your worth“, Taeyeon antis began to bring up the dumbest reasons like Taeyeon seeking for Baekhyun’s attention – even though they broke up 874644145 years ago, or saying she’s racist – as if she didn’t know Wiz Khalifa is black waaay before MAMA, or even bringing up that she has been depressed before – which is rude and disrespectful.
Of course, I too don’t know what actually went down, but who really believes Taeyeon would back out just because? Where does that make sense? I mean, we’re not talking about some random rookie singer, this is Taeyeon. If she didn’t want to perform, why would she accept it in the first place? It’s actually pretty clear in the rehearsal video how she was giving her best. Does that look to you like someone who doesn’t want to perform?
Taeyeon has made many mistakes in the past, I’m aware of that. But this time I believe she’s not at fault.
Today is Kim Seok Jin’s 24th birthday (25th in korean age). He is a member of the korean boy group BTS (aka 방탄소년단) (they are under BigHit Entertainment) in which he is a lead vocalist and visual.
Jin debuted with BTS on June 13th, 2013 with the track No More Dream. Needless to say they are currently making history, not only in the K-Pop industry but in worldwide music aswell (((((((:
If you’re not familiar with Jin yet, here’s our fandom’s favorite princess in a nutshell:
Jin aka mom, is that one human being who probably prevents BTS from setting their dorm on fire or killing each other every day. He loves cooking, aswell as eating, the color pink and Super Mario. He is kind, caring, honest, trustworthy, loyal, an overall beauty, inside and out. The absolute definition of sunshine.
Jin is one of the most underrated members in BTS – God knows why. Maybe because of his dancing? Who knows? Regardless, he is filled with talent. Even though he isn’t the leader, his guidance has been essential for Bangtan’s success, I’m extremly happy and proud to idolize someone like him.
Hope he has an amazing birthday, filled with love from his adored family and friends and that he makes wonderful new memories this year. I wish for the fandom to appreciate my bias wrecker more in the future…
Today is Lee Jinsol’s 15th birthday (16th in korean age). Jinsol is a member of the korean girl group April (they are under DSP Media) in which she’s a vocalist and maknae.
Jinsol debuted with April, on August 24th 2015 with the song Dream Candy – click here to watch it. She was part of the original line-up. April has made several comebacks since then and is expected to return on January 2017 along with the two new members.
Jinsol used to atend Academy Best Vocal and was a trainee for about half a year – amazing short period of time, considering some have been training for 8 years and still don’t have a debut date….
Fun fact, she used to be a trainee at JYP Entertainment, she was featured in GOT7’s MV for the song Stop Stop It. Jinsol then became best friends with TWICE member Chaeyoung!
Jinsol is such an adorable sweetheart, probably the cutest 동생 in K-Pop! Wish her a happy birthday~~
Who else is still recovering from the hot debuts that happened last October? I’m talking about PENTAGON and SF9 here. I was already longing for PENTAGON’s debut since Pentagon Maker, but SF9 was love at first sight aswell. My one problem is that I haven’t had the time to sit down and look up these guys closely and actually get to know what they’re like – honestly this is my favorite part of beginning to stan an artist. It has also been quite difficult to get familiar with their faces and names, specially because they’re rookies so there aren’t many good HQof them out there yet. I figured maybe some of you could be struggling with this aswell so I thought about gathering the neatest and fairest HQs of each members of these groups I could find so we can all finally get to know them! This post will be dedicated to PENTAGON.
