I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION

At this point I might just contact Jackie Chan myself…….

7sunvzz

It might be a little weird that I’m only approaching this matter now, but the thing is, I’ve been waiting for about a year for an actual announcement. Let’s make a recap, in case some of you might not know what the hell I’m talking about.

JJCC, the first idol group produced under Jackie Chan Group Korea (or whatever the hell the name of the label is) has had some up and downs in the past year. Their last comebacks weren’t particularly successful but the group seems to be doing much better internationally, in Japan for example – kind of what happens with MYNAME.

While this was going on last year, Prince Mak – or Henry, as I like to call him because I honestly detest that stage name – was diagnosed with tympanitis while in Australia (where he’s from) and then decided to stay in order to have it treated. The thing is, there has been no update on his status. I mean, we do get updated through his social media so we know what he’s up to, but where does he stand in JJCC at this point? Does he stand at all? I believe not, in fact, everyone believes not since he has been removed from JJCC’s website where they now refer to them as a 6-member group. He is also considered an ex-member in several websites such as Wikipedia.

This is where I get extremly upset. Why do labels feel the need to drag on this kind of situations? I remember well, the same happened when Tao injured his leg and was on hiatus, only for the so-called hiatus to become an eternity, having it taken SM about 3 or 4 months to officially announce he was no longer a member, when everyone else was expecting that already. As a fan, I feel wronged and super frustrated. I do not need to know what is going on on their personal life, but the status of his career? I think we have the right to know that. Jackie Chan Group Korea should announce something regarding this already, this is becoming too frustrating to bear.

UPDATE: Short before I posted this, I had left a comment on kpopinfo114’s profile for JJCC as I noticed they mantained Henry as a member. My comment said “I believe Prince Mak has left the group… Though there was no official announcement from their label, his photo and profile have been removed from their official website and he has been busy with activities in China, it’s highly unlikely that he will return. He had been on hiatus due to tympanitis.” I was then informed that, even though that’s most likely what happened, there are also rumors that he will still be joining the group on their chinese promotions. Adding that to the absense of an official statement of his departure, it becomes, indeed, impossible to determinate whether he has left or not.

It still doesn’t make full sense though because, again, he was removed from the official website and they’re not counting him as a member when they refer to JJCC as a 6-member group, even if he’ll only promote in China. Henry Lau and Zhou Mi also only promote with SuJu in China, but don’t they still count as members?

UPDATE:

079

I got nothing to say.

No seriously, can this get more confusing?

I went to dig this up a little more and FINALLY GOT TO A CONCLUSION

Henry STILL IS a part of JJCC, however, after his hiatus, members carried on with new promotions not only in Korea but also in Japan. After his recovery, it was complicated to suddenly add him to current promotions. As you might imagine, every thing from shows to photoshoots and other events are meticulously planned in advance so they probably excluded Henry from these because nobody knew when he would be ok to return.

To say he was “excluded” might sound a little rude but it’s not like he was forced to stay in China at home while the other members went around in their activities. Henry was allowed to have his own schedule and persue his solo activities in China, that’s where everyone got confused. But worry not, Henry is still a part of JJCC and will join the members after they finish their activities in Japan!

WHAT ABOUT A MALE VERSION OF IOI?

You guys, I got news

101-finale-1-800x450

As 2017 approaches, we might be seeing the last of IOI, but we definitely haven’t seen the last of MBC and their experiement with 101 trainees. It has been confirmed that the TV station is currently in talks with several labels with a male verison of Produce 101 in mind.

With the amount of boy groups that debuted recently, it is unlikely that some of the big companies will take part in this project. In fact, SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment have already announced that their trainees won’t be joining this project, as expected – just like what happened on the first season. This could be a chance for smaller companies to show the industry their hidden cards. However, I believe it’s going to be quite difficult to come up with 101 trainees under labels willing to take part in this in such short period of time, as filming is set to start next January and airing time around February/March 2017.

I have to say, I’m quite excited to see how this will workout. More than I was before Produce 101.

WHAT ABOUT A MALE VERSION OF IOI?

FAREWELL, OUR MINHYUK

Good evening! Updating to enlighten you, who might have not noticed, on Music Bank… about to let go of their #1 sunshine source – Kang Minhyuk

photo originally on Soompi website

As you may still remember, earlier this year, the heart-of-music-shows-MCs aka duo Park Bogum x Irene abandoned their position of Music Bank hosts after the half-year special episode. I was heartbroken because I literally lived to see those two interact. Actually, I live for anything Music Bank related since KBS World is the only korean channel available in Portugal.

I accepted it quite well though, I figured, yeah, of course they have other projects, those are their priority so they should focus on those. Also, it’s good to see new faces from time to time so bring on those new MCs!

The Solbin x Minhyuk duo was born.

Of course, ever since they began hosting Music Bank they’ve been practically chased by comparison between them and Borene coming from all sorts of Kpop websites and fan accounts. Honestly speaking, even though I loved Borene, Solbin and Minhyuk seemed much more comfortable with each other from the start and was really satisfied that the production had came up with such pair!

Now imagine how I got when today, after a busy weekend, I finally got to watch the recording of last Friday’s Music Bank and at the very end reALLY LIKE AFTER THEY ANNOUNCED WHO GOT FIRST PLACE MINHYUK GOES ON AN AUTOMATOC EMOTIONAL RANT AMD SOLBIN STARTS TO TEAR UP LIKE SHES EVEN TRYING TO HIDE AND JIMIN SUDDENLY SHOWS UP WITH A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS FOR MINHYUK AND AT THIS POINT IM LIKE YES SOLBIN CAN RELATE BC IMMA TEAR UP TOO

As expected his leave is due to schedule conflict, which is totally understandable considering Minhyuk is a part of CNBLUE. It really just broke my heart to see Solbin crying because you could tell she was truly sad about seeing him leave. If you watched the show regularly Im sure you noticed their proximity was legit, never seemed staged to me.

BUT FEAR NOT OUR SOLBIN THERE IS ANOTHER MAN ON HIS WAY TO ACCOMPANY YOU

OH MY GOD THE MEMBERS OF LABOUM MUST BE SO JEALOUS

LEE SEO WON WILL BE THE NEW MUSIC BANK MC

Sounds familiar? Well…

YES

YES IT IS

LEE SEO WON

AKA

NO JIK

OUR JIIIIIIIIIK

I’m so excited to see him next to our Solbin every Friday 💜 Wish this boy the best of luck on his debut as an MC, hope you stay with Solbin for a long time~~

TAEYEON – WHY || INSPIRED LOOKBOOK

yesyeysyegdh

Hey hey, I’m back!

Just posted my very very very loooooong awaited Taeyeon WHY Inspired Lookbook!

I know you guys are probably getting bored of seeing me promote my YouTube channel here and for that, I’m sorry!

This video has a very special meaning to me though.

This is one of the things you only understand when you run your own YouTube channel… But to me, seeing this video online is like witnessing my child speak their first word LMAO. It took me the whole summer to put this video together. It started with planning the video’s structure in order to know where and what to film. I literally scanned my whole wardrobe to find the best fitting clothes and my friend’s wardrobe too hahaha. I watched Taeyeon’s music video countless times, I downloaded it to my phone and randomly watched it several times in a row, before and during filming, to get the vibe of the music video as accurately as possible to be able to transmit the same idea but with my own touch.

After filming I had to start this intense search for a better video editing program (because no way in hell Movie Maker would to the trick) and do I came across Wondershare Filmora <3333

When school started I was very worried because I started to have less and less time to edit and I wondered if I was ever going to be able to post this video, in which I had already put so much effort into.

Eventually, I finally saved myself two afternoons and TA-DA!

Please, show this video lots of love and maybe drop a like? Nevermind, if you can just watch it you’re already making my day.

I hope everyone that watches this video enjoys it, from the outfits to the editing and that this inspires your own personal style too! Thank you~~♡♡♡

REACTING TO BTS’ COMEBACK

Yall thought I would forget? HAHA AS IF

Hey, I’m back again! Though I haven’t been able to cover the latest events and birthdays in the last weeks, I worked my ass off the be able to film, edit and have this video up in time! Of course, I would never skip on watching BTS’ comeback no matter how busy I was, but filming a reaction video is a whole other level.

How about showing some love and watch my video? ^^ Maybe drop a like…? How about subscribing? I bet you haven’t subscribed yet…

Kidding, I know you did.

You better.

Kidding.

Am I?

Anyway, my BLACKPINK reaction video did quite well, that’s one of the reasons why I thought about doing this too! IT HIT 1K VIEWS!!!!!

Alright, let me know your feedback on this video. Please don’t be too shocked, after all, this is the first time I’m showing the surface of the fangirl inside me on YouTube. Hopefully you’ll find it relatable? Hahahah

Thank you in advance, if you watch it!

REACTING TO BTS’ COMEBACK

SEPTEMBER COMEBACK

Hey guys, it’s Cat. Welcome back!

After this long ass hiatus you all probably think I died… (you wouldn’t if you follwed me on my social media). Specially because I am FINALLY back on youtube! If you click on the menu (aka those three bars on the upper right corner) you’ll see the link to my youtube channel!

Yes, the school year has started and you’re probably wondering why did I only decide to become active on the blog and channel now that I’m going to be busy with school. The truth is, if you read my previous posts, my summer was a complete mess because of finals and so will next year’s summer be. Despite all the hardwork, my finals still didn’t go that well and I’m going to repeat them this year again. Therefore, when summer arrives I’ll have to focus solely on school. That’s why I’m taking the time I have now, during the school year, because my days are a lot more organized and because I have less subjects on senior year.

Regarding my channel… Yes, the two new videos I posted recently were K-pop related, but that doesn’t mean my channel is going to revolve around K-pop from now on. Yes, there’s gonna be some of it because it’s something I care a lot about these days, but I don’t want my channel to keep on being about one theme only. That’s also why I changed the name from That’s Beauty Insider to Cat’s Scrapbook. A scrapbook is where you show the awesome experiences you have been through, the things you like doing and the people you love. That’s what I want my channel to become, something a lot more versatile than it was before!

Here are my most recent videos! Make sure you give them a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven’t yet!!

if you’re still wondering how things are gonna be around the blog, it’s simple. Everything is pretty much gonna stay the same it was when I first posted. I’ll try to cover all the comebacks and debuts the best I can aswell as my idols’ birthdays. I still think these posts are a great idea for some of you to get to know artists better or even get to know them at all.

Thank you for reading this, thank you for sticking to my blog and thank you if you follow me on youtube. It means a lot to me ^^ ily
