Hey there! This is my first post on this blog so I should probably introduce myself… right?
My name is Cat, I’m 16 and I’m from Lisbon, Portugal. You know, that tiny little country between Spain and the Atlantic? We don’t speak brazilian nor spanish by the way. We speak portuguese.
Anyway, this is what I look like
sorry… I’m not exactly a selfie expert
Since this is my first post I don’t want to make it too long.
The reason why I decided to create this blog?
I once had a blog about my daily life, fashion, makeup… but it didn’t feel like me. It was lacking something that meant a lot and had an important role on my everyday life – the fangirl side of me. Just like many teenagers nowadays, I’m a fangirl. However, I tend to hide it because I know how people usually look down at us. They think we’re shallow and dumb, but what’s so wrong about looking up to certain people we connect to through either music, TV, cinema or something like that? It doesn’t mean we aren’t smart or decent people.
I don’t want to go too deep in this subject because this is my first post. The point of this blog isn’t to change those people’s minds, I actually try to avoid people who think that way. I’m here to share fangirl feels and emotions with people like me – fangirls. Or fanboys.
If you are going to read my blog (which I hope you do), don’t expect me to:
– write about one artist only;
– write only about fangirling.
This is supposed to be about my daily life as a fangirl, of course, my life doesn’t revolve around my idols every second of the day. I’m a girl and I like girly things. Like I mentioned before, I used to have a blog about fashion and makeup. Those things are two other passions of mine so you should expect a few posts about it.
As for what makes me fangirl… the list is long, seriously. Before I get into that, there’s something you should know if you’re going to read my blog. I will not tolerate any kind of hate/rude/disrespectful comments or attitudes torwards the artists I stan. It’s okay if you don’t like them but it’s not okay to be disrespectful or rude just because I don’t have the same taste as you.
Things that make me fangirl…
Like I said, the list is long.
If ou say music I will think of One Direction as easily as I’ll think of The 1975, or I’ll think of Ed Sheeran as easily as I’ll think of EXO.
Basically I listen to (as in “what artists can we find on Cat’s phone?”) : All Time Low, AOA, APink, Ariana Grande, B1A4, BIGBANG, Blackbear, BTOB, BTS, CNBLUE, Conor Maynard, Ed Sheeran, EXID, EXO, f(x), Girl’s Day, SNSD, GOT7, Halsey, Hey Violet, HIGH4, HotShot, INFINITE, IU, LABOUM, LADIES’ CODE, Lovelyz, Major Lazer, Mamamoo, Meghan Trainor, Momoiro Clover Z, MyName, Oh My Girl, One Direction, Pierce The Veil, R5, Red Velvet, SEVENTEEN, Shawn Mendes, SHINee, SISTAR, TEEN TOP, Troye Sivan, Wonder Girls, 5 Seconds Of Summer, The 1975… These are the ones that mean the most to me.
If you say books I will instantly start talking about how devoted I am to John Green, Rainbow Rowell and Cassandra Clare.
As for series, I actually watch a bunch (still not as many as I’d like to) but there’s only one I follow religiously – The Vampire Diaries. If you also follow it then we’re both waiting for the next season. Meanwhile, I’ve let several kdramas ruin my life. Ruin in a good way. Kdramas are probably the greatest thing I came across after I became a kpop stan (after kpop itself of course). They’re all sooo good and adicting and honestly better than many american series (but I’ll leave that discussion for another time).
I guess that’s about it, I’m sure you’ll get to know me a lot better if keep on reading my blog though.
There’s only a little disclaimer I’d like to give you. Don’t expect me to constantly write about gossip related to my idols. I might comment some things, I still have the right to have an opinion right? But don’t expect me to stalk every person they hang out with or feed pointless rumors, that’s not the type of blog I want to run. Besides, isn’t the daily drama on twitter enough?
Alright, cya xxx
